We are so fortunate to be located between Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area and the Daniel Boone National Forest.

With these beautiful parks nearby, there are a myriad of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding and world class rivers for kayaking and canoeing.

  • Hit The Rivers

    ALL skill levels will find their waterways in the area. From Class V rapids to tranquil canoeing, there are routes and fun for everyone.

  • Charit Creek Lodge

    Charit Creek is a rustic and historic wilderness lodge located in a valley in the heart of Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. The lodge is accessible only by hiking, biking or horseback. We might suggest staying at Timber Rock Lodge a night, head down to Charit Creek, then come back to The Lodge to share your stories!

  • E.P.I.C. Mountain Biking

    Five trails within the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area have received the International Mountain Biking Association’s coveted “epic” designation. In so doing, the Big South Fork became the first national park unit in the United States with IMBA-designated epic bike trails.

  • The Historic Scott County Jail and Paranormal Tours

    A true crime and law enforcement appreciation museum spans all three floors of this historic jail. If you enjoy the mysterious side, check out the flashlight tours, guided ghost hunts and private paranormal investigations in "After Dark" tours. Also offering Escape Room challenges - every wanted to break out of jail, well here’s your chance.

    Huntable big game animals found in the area include whitetail deer, elk and wild boar. Tennessee is one of the nation’s top 10 states for spring turkey hunting. Here’s a well-kept secret: the fishing is pretty good in the Big South Fork of the Cumberland River.
